Instructions – How to Brew Coffee with BLOOM AND FLOW
-
Prepare the filter
Place a paper filter into the funnel, rinse it with hot water, and discard the remaining water. This removes any paper taste and preheats the carafe. -
Measure your coffee
Use approximately 10 g of ground coffee per cup. In total:
▪ 20 g for 2 cups
▪ 40 g for 4 cups
▪ 60 g for 6 cups
The grind should be medium-coarse (similar to the texture between sand and coarse salt). -
Bloom Stage
Pour a small amount of hot water (around 92–96 °C) over the ground coffee, just enough to wet it evenly. Wait about 30 seconds – this stage allows the coffee to “bloom” and release its full aroma. -
Flow Stage
Slowly and evenly pour the remaining hot water in a spiral motion from the center outward.
▪ Maintain a steady water level to ensure even filtration.
▪ The total brewing time should be approximately 4 minutes.
▶ If the water flows too quickly – grind your coffee finer.
▶ If it flows too slowly – grind it coarser.
▶ If brewing takes longer than 4 minutes, remove the funnel and place it in a separate cup to prevent over-extraction and bitterness. -
Serve and enjoy
Remove the funnel with the used filter.
Place the lid on the carafe to keep your coffee warm.
And most importantly – enjoy a clean, well-balanced cup of coffee!
