Formosa | Taiwan | Natural flavoured Oolong

A tea full of tradition and subtle elegance – Tung Ting Oolong (also known as Dong Ding) is one of the most renowned Oolong teas from Taiwan, historically called Formosa, meaning “beautiful island.”

This emerald-hued tea from the Nanhou region is enriched with the warm, soothing aroma of natural cinnamon, following a time-honoured technique similar to the preparation of jasmine or rose-scented teas.

The semi-fermented oolong leaves are blended with cinnamon pieces and gently heated at a low temperature. The mixture is then left to mature for a full week, allowing the flavours to develop naturally. After the resting period, the cinnamon is carefully removed, leaving behind a delicately sweet and fruity oolong with a soft cinnamon note.

    Flavour profile:
Smooth, slightly sweet and fruity with comforting cinnamon undertones – perfect for a cozy winter evening, festive moments, or heartfelt conversations.

    Preparation:
Use 4–5 tsp of tea per 1 L of filtered water (80–90 °C / 176–194 °F). Steep for 3–4 minutes. Can be infused multiple times.

    Storage:
To preserve the natural flavour and aroma, store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from strong-smelling products.
