GURMAN'S Se Chung
A high-quality partially oxidized oolong tea from the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian province, offering a gently sweet taste and a delicate meadow-flower aroma.
Oolong tea is a partially fermented tea originating from China. Freshly picked leaves are processed immediately: first withered in the sun, then gently shaken in bamboo baskets to soften the leaf edges. The leaves are then spread out on trays to continue drying and oxidizing.
Once the desired level of partial oxidation is reached, the leaves are heated at high temperature to stop the process. Oolong tea is known for its unique flavor profile – slightly sweet, refreshing, with floral and fruity notes. It is rich in L-theanine, known for its calming properties, and is also valued for helping maintain normal cholesterol levels.
