GURMAN’S Premium Japanese Matcha is a vibrant green powdered tea with a rich vegetal flavour and pleasantly creamy texture. It is ideal not only for preparing traditional matcha but also for matcha latte, smoothies, desserts and baked goods.

Matcha is made from shade-grown green tea leaves that are carefully ground into an exceptionally fine powder. Unlike traditionally brewed tea, the entire matcha leaf is consumed, allowing you to experience its intense colour, fuller flavour and distinctive Japanese tea character.

How to prepare matcha

1. Add approximately ½ teaspoon of matcha to a bowl.
2. Pour over 100 ml of water cooled to approximately 70°C.
3. Whisk vigorously with a bamboo matcha whisk or an electric milk frother until a fine layer of foam forms on the surface.

Tip: sift the matcha powder before preparation for a smoother drink without lumps and easier whisking.

To prepare a matcha latte, add your choice of warm or cold milk to the whisked matcha.

Storage conditions

Store tightly closed in the original tin in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, consume as soon as possible to preserve the vibrant colour, fresh aroma and best flavour qualities.
